Why Place Card Studio exists
A wedding, a wife with a clear vision, and a husband who got tired of guessing.
When my wife and I were planning our wedding, she had one clear wish: a place card for every guest, each with their own name, all matching the rest of our stationery.
She was genuinely shocked that nothing made this easy. Templates gave us one card at a time. Print shops sold packs of the same design. Typing out every guest by hand was the only option, and that’s no small job for over a hundred guests.
So I wrote a little tool. It took our guest list and turned it into a sheet of cards, a different name on every card.
Then the requests started. Could the names be in a script font? Could there be a eucalyptus sprig? A touch more sage? Table numbers to match? I was happy to help, but after the twentieth tweak I realised I was only guessing at what she could already picture.
So I built her a proper design studio, where she could choose the fonts, colours and florals herself and see every card update as she went. She designed our cards exactly the way she wanted, and I got to stop guessing.
That studio became Place Card Studio. It’s made in NSW for couples who want every guest to feel expected, without spending a weekend on mail merge.
